Abstract
Surface-modified zinc oxide particles are surface-modified zinc oxide particles where particle surfaces of zinc oxide particles are treated with a hydrolyzable surface treatment agent, in which a color difference ΔE before and after irradiation with simulated sunlight is 4.0 or lower, and an oil absorption amount of cyclopentasiloxane is 20 mL/100 g or less.

Surface-modified zinc oxide particles in which particle surfaces of zinc oxide particles are treated with a hydrolyzable surface treatment agent,
- wherein a color difference ΔE before and after irradiation with simulated sunlight is 4.0 or lower, and
- an oil absorption amount of cyclopentasiloxane is 20 mL/100 g or less.
