## Abstract

The present invention provides a sensor garment including a harness. In one exemplary embodiment, the sensor garment includes a textile portion, a device-retention element coupled to the textile portion, and a stretchable harness coupled to the textile portion. The harness includes a conductive element disposed between layers of film. The conductive element includes a first termination point at the device retention element, configured to connect to a monitor device. The conductive element includes a second termination point configured to connect to a sensor or transceiver.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A garment, comprising:
a textile layer;
a sensor coupled to the textile layer;
a monitor device coupled to the sensor; and
a retention element coupled to the textile layer and configured to retain the monitor device.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The garment of claim 1, wherein the retention element is formed integrally with the textile layer.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The garment of claim 1, wherein the garment comprises a shirt, and the retention element is positioned on the shirt to correspond to an upper back of a wearer.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The garment of claim 1, wherein the retention element comprises a pocket comprising an opening to receive the monitor device.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The garment of claim 1, wherein the retention element is located on an exterior surface of the textile layer.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The garment of claim 1, wherein the retention element is located on an interior surface of the textile layer.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The garment of claim 1, wherein the textile layer comprises multiple layers, and the retention element is located between the multiple layers of the textile layer.

### Claim 8

A garment, comprising:
a textile layer;
a sensor coupled to the textile layer;
a monitor device coupled to the sensor; and
a retention element coupled to the textile layer and configured to retain the monitor device, wherein the retention element comprises a spacer element located between the monitor device and a wearer of the garment.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The garment of claim 8, wherein the spacer element is configured to dampen movement of the monitor device.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The garment of claim 8, wherein the retention element comprises a pocket, and the spacer element is located within the pocket.

### Claim 11 (depends on 8)

The garment of claim 8, wherein the spacer element is coupled to the textile layer on at least one surface of the spacer element.

### Claim 12 (depends on 8)

The garment of claim 8, wherein the spacer element comprises a three-dimensional mesh.

### Claim 13 (depends on 8)

The garment of claim 8, wherein the spacer element comprises a three-dimensional foam.

### Claim 14

A garment, comprising:
a textile layer;
a sensor coupled to the textile layer;
a monitor device coupled to the sensor; and
a retention element coupled to the textile layer and configured to retain the monitor device, wherein the retention element comprises a support element located on an exterior surface of the retention element.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The garment of claim 14, wherein the support element is laminated on or within the retention element.

### Claim 16 (depends on 14)
