Inhalation device and control method

A control method for an inhaler device, the control method being executed by a computer, the inhaler device including

• a container capable of accommodating a stick substrate in an internal space;
• a first detector that radiates light to the internal space and detects reflected light received;
• a second detector that detects an action of a user to the inhaler device;
• a memory that stores a correction value used to calculate a first detection value corresponding to an intensity of reflected light detected by the first detector by correcting a second detection value indicating an intensity of reflected light detected by the first detector, the control method comprising:
• performing a determination on a state of the container in accordance with the first detection value;
• and
• controlling a process of, when a predetermined detection result is obtained by the second detector, calculating the correction value and storing the correction value in the memory.
