Abstract
Embodiments described herein relate to methods and apparatuses for obtaining information relating to tethering events. A method performed at a first network function for obtaining information relating to tethering events includes receiving, from a second network function, a first request to report information either related to detected tethering events in a session or related to detected tethering events for one or more services in a session; detecting a first tethering event at a first device; and transmitting a first message to the second network function, the first message including tethering information related to the first tethering event.
Claims21
A method performed at a first network function for obtaining information relating to tethering events, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a second network function, a first request to report information either related to detected tethering events in a session or related to detected tethering events for one or more services in a session;
- detecting a first tethering event at a first device;
- and
- transmitting a first message to the second network function, the first message comprising tethering information related to the first tethering event.
A method performed at a third network function for obtaining information relating to tethering events, the method comprising:
- obtaining first information for use in determining policies to be applied to traffic;
- determining, based on the first information, a first policy to be applied to either tethering traffic in a session or tethering traffic for one or more services in the session, wherein the first policy indicates that a second network function should report information relating either to detected tethering events in the session or to detected tethering events for the one or more services in the session;
- and
- transmitting to a second network function a first request to report information related either to detected tethering events in the session or to detected tethering events for the one or more services in the session.
