Treatment system—in particular, a cleaning system or painting system—comprising one or more treatment stations—in particular, for cleaning and/or coating vehicle bodies—

• wherein the treatment station includes a treatment container which surrounds a treatment chamber for accommodating the workpieces,
• wherein the treatment chamber can be flooded with a fluid,
• wherein the treatment container includes at least one access opening for introducing the workpieces into the treatment chamber and/or for removing the workpieces from the treatment chamber, and
• wherein the treatment container includes a closing device which includes a closing element for selectively closing and opening the at least one access opening.

Method for treating workpieces—in particular, for cleaning and/or coating vehicle bodies using a treatment station or a treatment system for treating workpieces—in particular, for cleaning and/or coating vehicle bodies—

• wherein the treatment station includes a treatment container which surrounds a treatment chamber for accommodating the workpieces,
• wherein the treatment chamber can be flooded with a fluid,
• wherein the treatment container comprises at least one access opening for introducing the workpieces into the treatment chamber and/or for removing the workpieces from the treatment chamber,
• wherein the treatment container comprises a closing device which comprises a closing element for selectively closing and opening the at least one access opening, wherein the method comprises the following:
• introducing the workpieces through at least one access opening into a treatment chamber which can be flooded with a fluid and which is surrounded by a treatment container of a treatment station;
• and
• optionally closing and opening the at least one access opening by means of a closing element of a closing device of the treatment container.
