Device, components, and kits for applying hair compositions and the manufacture and use thereof

A device for applying a hair composition to hair of a subject, the device comprising:

• at least one flap component;
• wherein the at least one flap component comprises a leading edge that is one or more of:
• (i) deformable, (ii) arcuate or essentially arcuate in shape, and (iii) generally follows the contour of the scalp of the subject;
• wherein the at least one flap component allows engagement with a section of hair of the subject;
• wherein the at least one flap component facilitates contact between the section of hair and the composition, and helps to protect the scalp and surrounding hair from contact with the composition;
• and
• wherein the at least one flap component is configured to fold on itself or to engage with a further flap component.
