Container content monitoring device and system

A container content monitoring system comprising:

• a plurality of containers each having a unique identifier and a lid;
• a plurality of container content monitoring devices each having a unique identifier and each comprising:
• a sensor configured to detect when the lid is removed from closing its respective container;
• a transmitter;
• and
• a controller operatively connected to the sensor and the transmitter;
• wherein the unique identifier of each container is associated with a respective unique identifier of one of the plurality of container content monitoring devices in a user device and/or in a cloud server remote from the plurality of container content monitoring devices.

A container content monitoring system comprising:

• a container having an identifier and a lid;
• a container content monitoring device having an identifier and comprising:
• a sensor configured to detect when the lid is removed from closing the container;
• a weight sensor configured to detect a weight of the container;
• a temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of the container;
• a transmitter;
• and
• a controller operatively connected to the sensor, the weight sensor, the temperature sensor and the transmitter;
• wherein the identifier of the container and the identifier of the container content monitoring device are associated in a user device and/or in a cloud server remote from the container content monitoring device.
