Abstract
An injector comprising: (a) a housing; (b) a control releasably secured to the housing; and (c) a syringe movably positioned within the housing, wherein when released, the control drives the syringe to expose a portion of the syringe outside of the housing.
Claims24
1:
- An injector case secured to a mobile device case, the injector case comprising:
- a) a first section fixedly secured to the mobile device case, and
- b) a second section removably secured to the first section and having an injector comprising:
- i) a housing,
- ii) a control releasably secured to the housing, and
- iii) a syringe movably positioned within the housing;
- wherein when released, the control drives the syringe to expose a needle of the syringe outside of the housing.

3:
- The injector case according to claim 1, wherein the syringe houses a medication that is distributed through the needle into a user via a plunger that is driven by the control.
4:
- The injector case according to claim 2, wherein the control is moved by one or more springs.
5:
- The injector case according to claim 4, further comprising a sheath that movably protects the needle prior to release of the control, after release of the control, or both.
(canceled)
7:
- The injector case according to claim 4, wherein the control is released via a force applied to a button on the housing that engages the control.
8:
- The injector case according to claim 7, wherein a stopper secures the control to the housing so that, when the stopper is removed from the injector, the control is released and engages the syringe.
9:
- The injector case according to claim 8, wherein the stopper is a pin movably secured to the housing.
10-12. (canceled)
13:
- The injector case according to claim 5, wherein the sheath is attached to the housing so that, when the syringe is driven by the control, the syringe contacts a portion of the sheath and releases the sheath from the housing to encapsulate the exposed portion of the syringe.
14:
- The injector case according to claim 13, wherein the sheath is secured in the housing in a compressed state via one or more springs so that, after injection from the injector, the sheath is biased to extend over the exposed portion of the syringe.
(canceled)
16:
- The injector case according to claim 9, wherein the pin releasably engages the button of the housing.
17-20. (canceled)
21:
- The injector case according to claim 5, wherein the sheath is attached to a plate secured within the housing so that, when the syringe is driven by the control, the control contacts and releases opposing fingers securing the sheath, and the sheath in turn releases and extends to encapsulate the exposed portion of the syringe.
22:
- The injector case according to claim 21, wherein the sheath is biased via a biasing member so that the sheath extends upon release.
23:
- The injector case according to claim 22, wherein the sheath is secured to a projection of the plate and the fingers are rotatably secured to a plurality of holes positioned on the plate.
24-28. (canceled)
29:
- The injector case according to claim 5, wherein, when the syringe is driven by the control, the control contacts and releases sheath engaging mechanisms securing the sheath to an inner portion of the housing, and the sheath in turn releases and extends to encapsulate the exposed portion of the syringe.
30:
- The injector case according to claim 5, wherein, when the syringe is driven by the control, shelves of the control release support of syringe engaging mechanisms of the sheath assembly, thereby allowing the sheath to extend until sheath brakes abut teeth along an inner portion of the housing and the sheath encapsulates the exposed portion of the syringe.
31:
- The injector case according to claim 5, wherein, when the control is released from the housing one or more sheath drivers are also released from the housing, and the sheath drivers apply a force to fingers of a sheath assembly to articulate the fingers are extend the sheath around the exposed portion of the syringe.
32:
- The injector case according to claim 29, wherein the sheath extends until one or more sheath brakes abut the sheath engaging mechanisms and prevent further movement of the sheath.
33:
- The injector case according to claim 32, wherein the sheath extends until one or more sheath brakes of the sheath abut one or more pegs, protrusions, extensions, or a combination thereof within the housing, thereby prevent further movement of the sheath.
