Abstract
The present invention relates to a human food comprising a basic food product and an ingredient, wherein the ingredient comprising one or more health-enhancing microorganism and a combination of at least one fermented seaweed material and at least one fermented plant material.

A method for increasing microvilli height and/or enterocyte height in the intestine of a subject, by supplying to a subject an ingredient comprising one or more health-enhancing microorganism and:
- (i) at least one fermented seaweed material;
- (ii) at least one fermented plant material;
- or
- (iii) a combination of at least one fermented seaweed material and at least one fermented plant material.
A method for increasing the nutritional effect and/or the nutritional adsorption of a basic food product consumed by a human comprising supplying to a human, a human food product comprising a basic food product and an ingredient, wherein the ingredient comprising one or more health-enhancing microorganism and:
- (i) at least one fermented seaweed material;
- (ii) at least one fermented plant material;
- or
- (iii) a combination of at least one fermented seaweed material and at least one fermented plant material.
