Abstract
A magazine may include a body comprising a magazine catch, and an insert in which the insert may be positioned on an upper portion of an interior of the body, the insert may include a magazine catch extension, the magazine catch extension may bend outward away from the body to reinforce the magazine catch, and the insert may be formed of a metal, an alloy, or combinations thereof.

A magazine comprising:
- a body comprising a magazine catch;
- and
- an insert, wherein the insert is positioned on an upper portion of an interior of the body, wherein the insert comprises a magazine catch extension, wherein the magazine catch extension bends outward away from the body to reinforce the magazine catch, and wherein the insert comprises a metal, an alloy, or combinations thereof.
A magazine comprising:
- a body comprising a magazine catch;
- and
- an insert, wherein the insert is positioned on an upper portion of an interior of the body, wherein the insert comprises a magazine catch extension, and wherein the magazine catch extension bends outward away from the body to reinforce the magazine catch.
A method of making a magazine comprising:
- implanting an insert in a magazine body mold,
- injecting a polymer in the magazine body mold;
- overmolding at least a portion of the insert with the polymer;
- and
- forming a magazine body wherein the magazine body comprises a magazine catch, wherein the insert is positioned on an upper portion of an interior of the magazine body, wherein the insert comprises a magazine catch extension, and wherein the magazine catch extension bends outward away from the magazine body to reinforce the magazine catch.
