Abstract
A composition adapted for the production of a thermosetting elastomer with antimicrobial capabilities by vulcanization by molding includes an elastomer, a catalyst and/or a vulcanization activator, and an antimicrobial additive that includes zinc pyrithione and silver phosphate glass in a 1:1 ratio by weight.

A composition adapted for production of a thermosetting elastomer with antimicrobial capabilities by vulcanization by molding, comprising:
- an elastomer;
- a catalyst and/or a vulcanization activator;
- and
- an antimicrobial additive in a quantity varying from 0.5% to 5 by weight relative to a total weight of the composition, the antimicrobial additive comprising zinc pyrithione and silver phosphate glass in a 1:1 ratio by weight.
