Abstract
Methods of manufacturing a door frame subassembly for an electronic display assembly and related systems and apparatuses are disclosed. A material is extruded to form a frame. The material is bent into a rectangular shape with rounded corners to define an opening. Notches may be formed in the frame to facilitate the bending. A remaining gap in the material is joined, such as by a bracket at a lower portion of the opening to secure the frame to itself.
Claims20
A method of manufacturing a door frame subassembly for an electronic display assembly, said method comprising:
- extruding a material for a frame;
- bending the material into a rectangular shape with rounded corners to define an opening;
- and
- joining a remaining gap in the material.
A door frame subassembly for an electronic display assembly formed by a method comprising:
- extruding a material for a frame, including forming, in the material a recessed ledge and spaced apart channels;
- forming, in the material, corner notches at anticipated locations of the corners;
- bending the material, at the corner notches, one corner at a time, into a rectangular shape with rounded corners to define an opening, including, for each of the corners, bending the material about a bending die at least until the channels contact an angled surface of the bending die and the corner notches are at least partially closed;
- and
- joining a remaining gap in the material, including by installing a bracket at a lower portion of said opening to secure the frame to itself.
A door frame subassembly for an electronic display assembly comprising:
- a frame having a rectangular shape with rounded corners, a recessed ledge, spaced apart channels, and corner notches located at the rounded corners, where said frame defines an opening;
- and
- a bracket spanning a gap in a lower portion of the frame and connecting the frame to itself.
