Abstract
An image reading device includes a transport section that transports a recording medium along a transport path, an image reading section that is provided on one side of the transport path and reads an image formed on the recording medium transported through the transport path, a rotary body that is rotatably provided and is provided on a side opposite to an installation side of the image reading section across the transport path, and a protruding portion that is provided at least at one end portion out of one end portion and the other end portion of the rotary body in an axial direction and protrudes from the rotary body toward the image reading section side.
Claims20
An image reading device comprising:
- a transport section that transports a recording medium along a transport path;
- an image reading section that is provided on one side of the transport path and reads an image formed on the recording medium transported through the transport path;
- a rotary body that is rotatably provided and is provided on a side opposite to an installation side of the image reading section across the transport path;
- and
- a protruding portion that is provided at least at one end portion out of one end portion and the other end portion of the rotary body in an axial direction and protrudes from the rotary body toward the image reading section side.
An image reading device comprising:
- a transport section that transports a recording medium along a transport path;
- an image reading section that is provided on one side of the transport path and uses a reduction optical system to collect reflected light from the recording medium onto a light receiving unit and read an image formed on the recording medium;
- a rotary body that is rotatably provided and is provided on a side opposite to an installation side of the image reading section across the transport path;
- and
- a protruding portion that is provided on the rotary body, is provided at least at an area deviated from an optical axis of the reflected light directed from the recording medium to the light receiving unit, and protrudes from the rotary body toward the image reading section side.
