Abstract
A clamping circuit is connected between a ground potential and a node through which a radio frequency signal passes. The clamping circuit includes multiple clamping elements that are cascaded. Each of the multiple clamping elements becomes conductive when a voltage greater than or equal to a forward voltage is applied thereto. At least one of the multiple clamping elements is implemented by a resistor-connected transistor that includes a bipolar transistor and a base-collector resistance element connected between the base and the collector of the bipolar transistor.
Claims15
A clamping circuit connected between a ground potential and a node through which a radio frequency signal passes, the clamping circuit comprising:
- a plurality of clamping elements that are cascade connected with each other,
- wherein each of the plurality of clamping elements is configured to be conductive when a voltage greater than or equal to a forward voltage is applied to the clamping element, and
- wherein at least one of the plurality of clamping elements comprises a resistor-connected transistor, the resistor-connected transistor comprising a bipolar transistor and a base-collector resistance circuit element connected between a base and a collector of the bipolar transistor.
