Abstract
A printing system includes: a data controller; and a printing controller. The data controller includes a transmission control unit configured to set, as a group, a piece of image data corresponding to a predetermined unit so as to satisfy a condition and perform transmission control for transmitting data corresponding to the group to the printing controller, wherein the condition is that a size of an image in a conveyance direction is greater than or equal to a threshold.
Claims25
A printing system comprising:
- a data controller;
- and a printing controller,
- the data controller including:
- at least one processor and at least a memory coupled to the at least one processor and having instructions stored thereon, and when executed by the at least one processor, acting as:
- a transmission control unit configured to set, as a group, a piece of image data corresponding to a predetermined unit so as to satisfy a condition and perform transmission control for transmitting data corresponding to the group to the printing controller, wherein the condition is that a size of an image in a conveyance direction is greater than or equal to a threshold, and
- the printing controller including:
- at least one processor and at least a memory coupled to the at least one processor and having instructions stored thereon, and when executed by the at least one processor, acting as:
- a storage unit configured to receive the data corresponding to the group from the data controller and store the data corresponding to the group in a buffer region;
- an obtaining unit configured to obtain the piece of image data from the data corresponding to the group stored in the buffer region;
- and
- a print control unit configured to perform printing control for causing a printing unit to perform printing based on the piece of image data obtained by the obtaining unit.
A method to be executed in a printing system including a data controller;
- and a printing controller, the method comprising:
- the data controller
- setting, as a group, a piece of image data corresponding to a predetermined unit so as to satisfy a condition and performing transmission control for transmitting data corresponding to the group to the printing controller, wherein the condition is that a size of an image in a conveyance direction is greater than or equal to a threshold, and
- the printing controller
- receiving the data corresponding to the group from the data controller and storing the data corresponding to the group in a buffer region;
- obtaining the piece of image data from the data corresponding to the group stored in the buffer region;
- and
- performing printing control for causing a printing unit to perform printing based on the obtained piece of image data.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium that stores one or more programs including instructions, which when executed by one or more processors of an information processing apparatus, cause the information processing apparatus to perform a method, the method comprising:
- the data controller
- setting, as a group, a piece of image data corresponding to a predetermined unit so as to satisfy a condition and performing transmission control for transmitting data corresponding to the group to the printing controller, wherein the condition is that a size of an image in a conveyance direction is greater than or equal to a threshold, and
- the printing controller
- receiving the data corresponding to the group from the data controller and storing the data corresponding to the group in a buffer region;
- obtaining the piece of image data from the data stored corresponding to the group in the buffer region;
- and
- performing printing control for causing a printing unit to perform printing based on the obtained piece of image data.
