Abstract
A suspension system for an acoustic ceiling island platform, wherein the system comprises a plurality of carrier profiles each having at least a first recess, a plurality of main runners configured for being connected with the carrier profiles, and a plurality of attachment clips for connecting the main runners with the carrier profiles, wherein each attachment clip is configured for being connected to a main runner and comprises one or more protruding wing(s) configured for being positioned in the first recess of a carrier profile.

A suspension system for an acoustic ceiling island platform, wherein the system comprises
- a plurality of carrier profiles each having at least a first recess,
- a plurality of main runners configured for being connected with the carrier profiles, and
- a plurality of attachment clips for connecting the main runners with the carrier profiles,
- wherein each attachment clip is configured for being connected to a main runner and comprises one or more protruding wing(s) configured for being positioned in the first recess of a carrier profile.
The suspension system according to claim any of the preceding claims, wherein the wings are chamfered.
The suspension system according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the attachment clip comprises a flat body, and the one or two protruding wing(s) is/are protruding perpendicularly to the flat body.
The suspension system according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the first recess extends along the longitudinal direction of the carrier profile.
The suspension system according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the first recess is configured for holding a nut or a head of a bolt.
The suspension system according to any of the preceding claims, wherein each attachment clip comprises a clip opening configured for receiving a shank of a bolt.
The suspension system according to any of the preceding claims, wherein at least some of the plurality of carrier profiles have a second recess opposite and/or parallel to the first recess.
The suspension system according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the attachment clip is made of plastic or metal, preferably steel or aluminium.
The suspension system according to any of the preceding claims, wherein each main runner at a lower edge comprises flanges configured for carrying ceiling tiles.
The suspension system according to any of the preceding claims, wherein each main runner comprises a bulb at its upper edge, the attachment clip being configured to receive said bulb.
An acoustic ceiling island platform comprising the suspension system according to any of the preceding claims and ceiling tiles carried by the main runners.
