Abstract
This invention refers to a liquid base product that comprises vegetable oil, and/or blond glycerin, and/or animal fat and nitrilotriethanol: a liquid formulated product that comprises the base product and organic surfactants, the catalysts, reagents, and/or water; a liquid final product that comprises the formulated product and at least an isocyanate. This invention also refers to a biodegradable solid product formed from a liquid final product. This invention also refers to a biodegradable product fabrication process.
Claims20
Liquid base product for forming a biodegradable product, characterized by comprising a first base mixture component mixed with a second base mixture component, wherein:
- the first base mixture component is selected from at least one from the group of:
- vegetable oil, blond glycerin, and/or animal fat;
- and
- the second base mixture component is selected from at least one from the group of:
- nitrilotriethanol, pentaerythritol, and/or trimethylol propane,
- wherein the liquid base product comprises between 63% and 90% of the first base mixture component, and between 10% and 37% of the second base mixture component, considering the total weight of the liquid base product,
- wherein the hydroxyl value of the liquid base product is between 200 and 300.
Fabrication process for forming a liquid base product for forming a biodegradable product, characterized by comprising:
- heating a first base mixture component to a temperature between 50° C. and 70° C., wherein the first base mixture component is selected from at least one from the group of:
- vegetable oil, blond glycerin, and/or animal fat;
- adding a second base mixture component to the first base mixture component, wherein the second base mixture component is selected from at least one from the group of:
- nitrilotriethanol, pentaerythritol, and/or trimethylol propane;
- heating the combination of the first base mixture component and second base mixture component to a temperature between 90° C. and 100° C., or to a temperature above the melting point of the second base mixture component if the second base mixture component has a melting point above 100° C.;
- and
- stirring the first base mixture component and second base mixture component for a period ranging between 60 minutes and 120 minutes at the temperature of the previous step to obtain a liquid base product with a hydroxyl value between 200 and 300.
