Abstract
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to genetically modified plants comprising NODULE INCEPTION (NIN) and NIN-LIKE PROTEIN (NLP) that have been genetically altered to be responsive to auxin so that the NIN or NLP protein can induce root nodulation upon appropriate signaling.
Claims44
A genetically altered plant or part thereof comprising one or more genetic alterations that increase activity of a NODULE INCEPTION (NIN) protein or a NIN-like protein (NLP protein) in response to auxin signaling as compared to a control plant without the one or more genetic alterations.
