A method for recovering cyclopentene, comprising allowing a metathesis catalyst to act on a ring-opened polymer having a structural unit derived from cyclopentene to recover cyclopentene.
A cyclopentene solution containing cyclopentene and a reaction residue of a metathesis catalyst in a solvent, wherein the concentration of cyclopentene is 0.01 to 1.7 mol/L.
