Abstract
Disclosed is a vehicle that may include a frame to support a power system, such as an engine, and one or more surface supports, such as wheels, to support the frame. The engine may include an internal combustion engine and a fuel supply system therefore. The engine may provide power to drive the wheels.
Claims20
A wheeled motorized vehicle assembly having an automatic speed control system, comprising:
- a frame configured to be drive be a wheel;
- a sensor affixed to the frame, wherein the sensor is positioned to sense an environment exterior to the frame an generate a sensor signal based on an object exterior to the frame sensed by the sensor;
- a memory system having stored therein a plurality of predetermined vehicle types operable to be sensed by the sensor;
- and
- a processor system configured to execute instructions to:
- receive the sensor signal;
- determine a vehicle type based on the sensor signal and the stored plurality of predetermined vehicle types, and
- determine whether a specific target distance is present between the wheeled motorized vehicle and the object determined to be the determined vehicle type,
- an alert system to alert a rider of the wheeled motorized vehicle regarding the specific target distance.
A two-wheeled and/or three-wheeled motorized vehicle assembly having an automatic speed control system, comprising:
- a memory system operable to store a predetermined vehicle type;
- a processor system to execute instructions to:
- access the memory system,
- determine whether an object is the predetermined vehicle type,
- recall from the accessed memory a specific threshold distance regarding the predetermined vehicle type,
- determined whether the object is within the specific threshold distance of the wheeled motorized vehicle regarding the determined vehicle type, and
- generate an alert signal that the determined vehicle type is within the specific threshold distance of the wheeled motorized vehicle regarding the determined vehicle type;
- and
- an alert system configured to provide an alert to a rider of the wheeled motorized vehicle based on the generated alert signal.
A method of operating a two-wheeled and/or three-wheeled motorized vehicle assembly having an automatic speed control system, comprising:
- executing instructions with the processor system to:
- determine a vehicle type from a plurality of predetermined vehicle types based on a sensor signal, and
- determine whether an object is the determined vehicle type and is within a specific threshold distance of the wheeled motorized vehicle regarding the determined vehicle type;
- and
- alerting a rider of the wheeled motorized vehicle that the determined vehicle type is within the specific threshold distance of the wheeled motorized vehicle regarding the determined vehicle type;
- wherein the specific target distance is based on the vehicle type.
