Abstract
A multi-function painting accessory includes a coupling member configured to be received on an end of an extension pole or paint roller, a scraper blade extending from the coupling member, the scraper blade having a distal edge for removing debris from a surface, and an opener device extending from the coupling member, the opener device being configured for use in removing a paint can lid or bottle top.

A multi-function painting accessory, comprising:
- a coupling member configured to be received on an end of an extension pole or paint roller;
- a scraper blade extending from the coupling member, the scraper blade having a distal edge for removing debris from a surface;
- and
- an opener device extending from the coupling member, the opener device being configured for use in removing a paint can lid or bottle top.

A method of preparing a surface, comprising the steps of:
- utilizing an opener device of an accessory to remove a lid from a paint can;
- and
- utilizing a scraper blade of the accessory to remove debris from a surface to be painted.
A paint scraper, comprising:
- a coupling member configured to be received on an end of an extension pole or paint roller;
- and
- a scraper blade extending from the coupling member, the scraper blade having a distal edge for removing debris from a surface;
- wherein the scraper blade extends at an angle between about 45 degrees and about 135 degrees relative to a longitudinal axis of the coupling member.
