The present disclosure relates to a method of a radio base station of transmitting data to a wireless communication device, and a radio base station performing the method. In an aspect, a method of a radio base station of transmitting data to a wireless communication device is provided. The method includes identifying that the wireless communication device is a fixed wireless access (FWA) device, determining transmission parameters for the data to be transmitted to the wireless communication device based on acquired channel state information (CSI) for a channel to be established with the wireless communication device, transmitting the data to the wireless communication device by applying the acquired transmission parameters, and transmitting further data to the wireless communication device during subsequent communication sessions by reapplying the determined transmission parameters.
