Abstract
Provided herein is a method for removing a tert-butoxycarbonyl (Boc) group in a compound having a Boc group on a nitrogen atom, comprising treating the compound with a trifluoromethanesulfonic acid metal salt (metal triflate: M(OTf)n) or rare-earth metal halide (MXn) in the presence of a base to obtain a compound in which the Boc group is converted to H—.

A method for producing a compound, comprising treating a compound having a tert-butoxycarbonyl (Boc) group on a nitrogen atom with a trifluoromethanesulfonic acid metal salt (metal triflate:
- M(OTf)n) or rare-earth metal halide (MXn) in the presence of a base to obtain a compound in which the Boc group is removed.

A method for improving a yield in a deprotection reaction of a tert-butoxycarbonyl (Boc) group in a compound having the Boc group on a nitrogen atom, comprising treating the compound with a trifluoromethanesulfonic acid metal salt (metal triflate:
- M(OTf)n) or rare-earth metal halide (MXn) in the presence of a base to obtain a compound in which the Boc group is converted to H—.
A method for suppressing a generation of a byproduct in a deprotection reaction of a tert-butoxycarbonyl (Boc) group in a compound having the Boc group on a nitrogen atom, comprising treating the compound with a trifluoromethanesulfonic acid metal salt (metal triflate:
- M(OTf)n) or rare-earth metal halide (MXn) in the presence of a base to obtain a compound in which the Boc group is converted to H—.
A method for producing a compound, comprising treating a compound having a Boc group on a nitrogen atom with at least one metal triflate or rare-earth metal halide selected from the group consisting of Sn(OTf)2, Er(OTf)3, Tm(OTf)3, Y(OTf)3, Yb(OTf)3, ErCl3, ErBr3, and ErI3, in the presence of at least one base selected from the group consisting of 2,6-lutidine, N,N-diisopropylethylamine, N-methylmorpholine, 2,6-di-tert-butylpyridine, and di(trimethylsilyl)amine to obtain a compound in which the Boc group is removed.
A method for producing a compound, comprising treating a compound having a Boc group on a nitrogen atom with at least one metal triflate or rare-earth metal halide selected from the group consisting of Sn(OTf)2, Er(OTf)3, Tm(OTf)3, Y(OTf)3, Yb(OTf)3, ErCl3, ErBr3, and ErI3, and at least one base selected from the group consisting of 2,6-lutidine, N,N-diisopropylethylamine, N-methylmorpholine, 2,6-di-tert-butylpyridine, and di(trimethylsilyl)amine, in the presence of at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of an ether-based solvent, a halogen-based solvent, a nitrile-based solvent, an aromatic hydrocarbon-based solvent, and an ester-based solvent to obtain a compound in which the Boc group is removed.
