Abstract
A microwave ablation device including a cable assembly configured to connect a microwave ablation device to an energy source and a feedline in electrical communication with the cable assembly. The microwave ablation device further includes a balun on an outer conductor of the feedline, and a temperature sensor on the balun sensing the temperature of the balun.

A microwave ablation device, comprising:
- a handle assembly;
- a tubular member extending distally from the handle assembly and defining a lumen;
- a feedline extending through the lumen defined by the tubular member, the feedline including an inner conductor, an outer conductor, and a dielectric disposed between the inner conductor and the outer conductor;
- a radiating portion coupled to a distal end portion of the inner conductor and configured to radiate microwave energy;
- and
- at least one temperature sensor disposed on the tubular member proximal to the distal end portion of the inner conductor.

A microwave ablation device, comprising:
- a tubular member extending distally from a handle assembly and defining a longitudinal axis;
- a distal tip extending distally from a distal end of the tubular member;
- a feedline extending through a lumen defined by the tubular member, the feedline including, an inner conductor, an outer conductor coaxially surrounding at least a portion of the inner conductor, and a dielectric material disposed between the inner and outer conductors;
- a first thermocouple disposed on the tubular member at a first distance from the distal tip;
- a second thermocouple disposed on the tubular member at a second distance from the distal tip, the second thermocouple axially spaced proximally along the longitudinal axis from the first thermocouple;
- and
- a third thermocouple disposed on the tubular member at a third distance from the distal tip, the third thermocouple axially spaced proximally along the longitudinal axis from the second thermocouple.
