Abstract
The fast rope gloves include weighted slugs sewn into or bonded to the distal ends of each digit sleeve to assist in doffing the glove. The slugs are sewn to the back of the digit sleeves overlying the wearer's thumb nail or finger nails. The weights allow the user to fling the gloves off the hands by swinging the arms downward in a rapid movement.

A glove for descending on a fast rope, the glove comprising:
- a main glove body having one or more elongated digit sleeves, each of the one or more digit sleeves having a distal end thereof and a posterior side thereof;
- and a weight element affixed to the distal end and the posterior side of each of the one or more digit sleeves.
