Disclosed herein are photopolymerization initiators of formula I. or a salt thereof. Also disclosed are compositions comprising the photopolymerization initiators of formula I and methods of using the photopolymerization initiators of formula I.

A photopolymerization initiator of formula I:
- or a salt thereof, wherein:
- W is an aryl, wherein the aryl is optionally substituted with one or more groups independently selected from the group consisting of halo, —OH, (C1-C4)alkyl, and —C(═O)Ph wherein the —C(═O)Ph is optionally substituted with halo, —OH, or (C1-C4)alkyl;
- each R1 is independently (C1-C4)alkyl;
- and
- each R2 is independently (C1-C6)alkyl;
- provided the compound is not:
