Abstract
This method comprises the following steps: (i) formation of drops of a first phase in a second phase substantially immiscible with the first phase; (ii) flow, in a flow line, of the drops; (iii) recovery of a dispersion comprising drops and second phase in a container; and (iv) injection of a solution into the flow line or at the outlet of the flow line, upstream of the container, the solution comprising at least one raw material which is not or is not very compatible with step (i) and/or step (ii).
Claims17
A method of forming a dispersion comprising drops, the method including the following steps:
- (i) formation of drops of a first phase in a second phase substantially immiscible with the first phase;
- (ii) flow, in a flow line, of the drops;
- (iii) recovery of a dispersion comprising drops and second phase in a container;
- wherein the method includes at least one of the following steps:
- (iv) injection of a solution into the flow line or at the outlet of the flow line, upstream of the container, said solution comprising at least one raw material which is not or is not very compatible with step (i) and/or step (ii).
An apparatus for forming a dispersion comprising drops, comprising:
- a flow line containing drops of first phase in a second phase substantially immiscible with the first phase, optionally each drop comprising a core formed of first phase and a shell, preferably formed of a coacervate layer interposed between the first phase and the second phase;
- a container for collecting a dispersion comprising drops and the second phase;
- wherein the apparatus includes:
- a tank containing a solution comprising at least a raw material which is not compatible or not very compatible with the step (i) of formation of drops and/or the step (ii) of flow in the flow line;
- at least one injection line for injecting the solution, coupled to the tank, and coming into the flow line or at the outlet of the flow line, upstream of the container.
