Abstract
In an example, the present invention provides a solar tracker apparatus. In an example, the apparatus comprises a center of mass with an adjustable hanger assembly configured with a clam shell clamp assembly on the adjustable hanger assembly and a cylindrical torque tube comprising a plurality of torque tubes configured together in a continuous length from a first end to a second end such that the center of mass is aligned with a center of rotation of the cylindrical torque tubes to reduce a load of a drive motor operably coupled to the cylindrical torque tube. Further details of the present example, among others, can be found throughout the present specification and more particularly below.

A solar tracker apparatus comprising:
- a torque tube extending along a row of the solar tracker apparatus;
- a plurality of solar panels coupled to the torque tube;
- and
- a pivot device comprising a pin, the pin rotatably suspending the torque tube at the pivot device such that the torque tube is configured to rotate in both a first direction and a second, opposite direction.
A solar tracker apparatus comprising:
- a torque tube extending along a row of the solar tracker apparatus;
- a plurality of solar panels coupled to the torque tube;
- and
- a plurality of pivot devices extending along the row of the solar tracker apparatus, each pivot device comprising a pin, the torque tube extending through each pivot device, the torque tube being rotatably suspended at the pin.
A solar tracker apparatus comprising:
- a torque tube extending along a row of the solar tracker apparatus;
- a plurality of solar panels coupled to the torque tube;
- and
- a pivot device comprising a first region and a second region, the first region configured to couple to a ground support structure, the second region configured to rotatably suspend the torque tube at the pivot device such that the torque tube is configured to rotate in both a first direction and a second, opposite direction via the pivot device.
