Abstract
An electronic device includes an operation button having a flange, and a device case formed with an opening into which the operation button is inserted. The device case is provided with a restricting portion that does not overlap the flange when the operation button is inserted into the opening in an orientation, and that overlaps the flange when the operation button is to be inserted into the opening in an orientation other than the orientation.

An electronic device comprising:
- an operation button having a flange;
- and
- a device case formed with an opening into which the operation button is inserted,
- wherein the device case is provided with a restricting portion that does not overlap the flange when the operation button is inserted into the opening in an orientation, and that overlaps the flange when the operation button is to be inserted into the opening in an orientation other than the orientation.

A method for manufacturing an electronic device, the method comprising:
- preparing a device case formed with an opening into which an operation button having a flange is inserted;
- preparing the operation button;
- and
- inserting the operation button into the opening in an orientation,
- wherein the device case is provided with a restricting portion that does not overlap the flange when the operation button is inserted into the opening in the orientation, and that overlaps the flange when the operation button is inserted into the opening in an orientation other than the orientation.
