Compressed direct current location reporting scheme for uplink carrier aggregation

A method for direct current (DC) location reporting configuration performed by a network entity, comprising:

• sending an indication of a configuration of a plurality of component carriers (CCs) in a channel bandwidth, wherein each component carrier (CC) of the plurality of CCs includes one or more bandwidth parts (BWPs);
• and
• sending an indication of a subset of activation permutations for at least some of the one or more BWPs of the plurality of CCs in the channel bandwidth, wherein the subset of activation permutations is associated with direct current (DC) location reporting by a user equipment (UE), and wherein the subset of activation permutations is less than all possible activation permutations of the one or more BWPs of the plurality of CCs in the channel bandwidth.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media comprising executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of an apparatus, cause the apparatus to perform operations comprising:

• sending an indication of a configuration of a plurality of component carriers (CCs) in a channel bandwidth, wherein each component carrier (CC) of the plurality of CCs includes one or more bandwidth parts (BWPs);
• and
• sending an indication of a subset of activation permutations for at least some of the one or more BWPs of the plurality of CCs in the channel bandwidth, wherein the subset of activation permutations is associated with direct current (DC) location reporting by a user equipment (UE), and wherein the subset of activation permutations is less than all possible activation permutations of the one or more BWPs of the plurality of CCs in the channel bandwidth.
