Earbuds

A wireless earphone comprising:

• an earphone housing defining a speaker opening proximate a first end of the earphone housing;
• a speaker disposed within the earphone housing and oriented to emit audio through the speaker opening defined by the earphone housing;
• a wireless transceiver;
• a processor disposed within the housing;
• a battery disposed within the housing and operatively coupled to provide power to the speaker and processor;
• and
• a biometric sensor positioned along an exterior surface of the housing at the first end of the earphone housing;
• and
• a compliant member coupled to a second end of the earphone housing, opposite the first end, the compliant member configured to, when the earphone is placed in an ear of a user such that the speaker opening is aligned with an ear canal of the ear, deform to conform with an interior geometry of the ear and to exert a force on the earphone housing that results in contact between the biometric sensor and an interior facing surface of a tragus of the ear.
