Method and Apparatus for Providing Video Stream Based on Machine Learning

An electronic device, comprising:

• a communication module;
• a database;
• and
• a processor, wherein the processor is configured to:
• receive a source video stream which is streamed from a first device to at least one other device;
• acquire a probability value related to whether an event is detected on the source video stream using a learning model trained through machine learning on the basis of at least one frame of the source video stream;
• determine whether to restrict streaming of the source video stream from the first device on the basis of the probability value,
• wherein the determining of whether to restrict the streaming comprises:
• when the probability value is less than a specified threshold value, transmitting, to one or more external monitoring devices, a reconfirmation request for event detection, wherein the reconfirmation request comprises information related to a video stream corresponding to the event;
• and
• determining whether to restrict the streaming of the source video stream based on responses to the reconfirmation request acquired from the one or more external monitoring devices;
• and
• upon receiving responses from the one or more external monitoring devices confirming no event is detected on the source video stream, provide the source video stream to the at least one other device.
