Multiple access point (ap) association

An energy harvesting (EH) device, comprising:

• one or more memories, individually or in combination, having instructions;
• and
• one or more processors, individually or in combination, configured to execute the instructions and cause the EH device to:
• receive a first signal;
• receive, after the first signal, a second signal;
• and
• transmit a first backscatter signal in response the second signal, wherein transmission of the first backscatter signal indicates that the second signal satisfies a threshold condition, and wherein the threshold condition is based at least in part on a strength of the first signal.

A method for wireless communication at a network entity, comprising:

• transmitting a first signal;
• transmitting, after the first signal, a first plurality of signals including a second signal, wherein each of the plurality of signals is transmitted via one of a plurality of codebook directional beams;
• and
• receiving, from a first energy harvesting (EH) device of a plurality of EH devices, a first backscatter signal in response the second signal, wherein the first backscatter signal indicates that the second signal satisfies a threshold condition, and wherein the threshold condition is based at least in part on a strength of the first signal.

A method of wireless communication at an energy harvesting (EH) device, comprising:

• receiving a first signal;
• receiving, after the first signal, a second signal;
• and
• transmitting a first backscatter signal in response the second signal, wherein transmission of the first backscatter signal indicates that the second signal satisfies a threshold condition, and wherein the threshold condition is based at least in part on a strength of the first signal.
