Abstract
A network node may generate an initial precoder for a plurality of antennas, determine antenna radiated power for each of the plurality of antennas based on the initial precoder, select a subset of antennas from the plurality of antennas based on the determined antenna radiated power, generate at least one transmission precoder for at least one selected antenna of the selected subset of antennas, and perform communication with at least one user equipment device using the at least one transmission precoder and the at least one selected antenna of the selected subset of antennas.
Claims15
A network node, comprising:
- means for performing,
- generating an initial precoder for a plurality of antennas;
- determining antenna radiated power for each of the plurality of antennas based on the initial precoder;
- selecting a subset of antennas from the plurality of antennas based on the determined antenna radiated power;
- generating at least one transmission precoder for at least one selected antenna of the selected subset of antennas;
- and
- performing communication with at least one user equipment (UE) device using the at least one transmission precoder and the at least one selected antenna of the selected subset of antennas.
The network node of any preceding claims, wherein the means comprises:
- memory having computer readable instructions stored thereon;
- and
- processing circuitry configured to execute the computer readable instructions to cause the performance of the network node.
A method of operating a network node comprising:
- generating an initial precoder for a plurality of antennas;
- determining antenna radiated power for each of the plurality of antennas based on the initial precoder;
- selecting a subset of antennas from the plurality of antennas based on the determined antenna radiated power;
- generating at least one transmission precoder for at least one selected antenna of the selected subset of antennas;
- and
- performing communication with at least one user equipment (UE) device using the at least one transmission precoder and the at least one selected antenna of the selected subset of antennas.
A non-transitory computer readable medium having computer readable instructions stored thereon, which when executed by processing circuitry, cause the processing circuitry to:
- generate an initial precoder for a plurality of antennas;
- determine antenna radiated power for each of the plurality of antennas based on the initial precoder;
- select a subset of antennas from the plurality of antennas based on the determined antenna radiated power;
- generate at least one transmission precoder for at least one selected antenna of the selected subset of antennas;
- and
- perform communication with at least one user equipment (UE) device using the at least one transmission precoder and the at least one selected antenna of the selected subset of antennas.
