Abstract
A connector assembly having a connector housing with terminal receiving cavities which extend to a mating end of the connector housing. Electrical terminals are provided in the terminal receiving cavities. The terminals have mating portions which extend from the terminal receiving cavities beyond the mating end of the electrical connector. A movable cover is movably mounted on the connector housing. The movable cover extends over the mating portions of the terminals. The movable cover prevents unwanted engagement and damage to the mating portions of the terminals during shipping and assembly.

A connector assembly comprising:
- a connector housing having terminal receiving cavities which extend to a mating end of the connector housing;
- electrical terminals provided in the terminal receiving cavities, the terminals having mating portions which extend from the terminal receiving cavities beyond the mating end of the electrical connector;
- a movable cover movably mounted on the connector housing, the movable cover extending over the mating portions of the terminals;
- wherein the movable cover prevents unwanted engagement and damage to the mating portions of the terminals during shipping and assembly.
