Abstract
There is provided a cathode composition for a battery of the general formula: Li1+aMn1−bMg1−cO2; wherein the values of a, b and c are greater than 0. There is also provided a method of making the cathode composition for a battery, a cathode containing the cathode composition, and an electrochemical cell containing the cathode.
