Artificial Reality Triggered by Physical Object

A method of operating an artificial-reality system, the method comprising:

• presenting artificial-reality content on a display of the artificial-reality system;
• detecting that a user of the artificial-reality system has performed a sitting movement;
• in response to detecting the sitting movement, modifying the artificial-reality content displayed on the display of the artificial-reality system;
• detecting that the user has performed a standing movement;
• and
• in response to detecting the standing movement, further modifying the modified artificial-reality content displayed on the display of the artificial-reality system.

A method of operating an artificial-reality system, the method comprising:

• detecting that a user of the artificial-reality system has performed a first movement;
• determining that the first movement is a trigger action;
• in response to the trigger action, presenting an artificial-reality effect in a head-mounted display of the artificial-reality system;
• detecting that the user has performed a second movement different from the first movement;
• determining that the second movement is a de-trigger action;
• and
• in response to the de-trigger action, ceasing presentation of the artificial-reality effect.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions for causing processing circuitry of an artificial-reality system to perform operations comprising:

• presenting artificial-reality content on a display of the artificial-reality system;
• detecting that a user of the artificial-reality system has performed a sitting movement;
• in response to detecting the sitting movement, modifying the artificial-reality content displayed on the display of the artificial-reality system;
• detecting that the user has performed a standing movement;
• and
• in response to detecting the standing movement, further modifying the modified artificial-reality content displayed on the display of the artificial-reality system.
