Display device and display system

A display device comprising:

• a substrate;
• a display region that has a shape of a polygon with five or more sides, is provided to the substrate, and is provided with a plurality of pixels, a plurality of scan lines extending in a first direction, and a plurality of signal lines extending in a second direction;
• a peripheral region that is provided to the substrate and located between ends of the substrate and the display region;
• a first scan line drive circuit that is disposed in the peripheral region and coupled to the scan lines;
• a second scan line drive circuit that is disposed in the peripheral region opposite the first scan line drive circuit with the display region therebetween, and coupled to the scan lines;
• a third scan line drive circuit that is disposed in the peripheral region opposite the first scan line drive circuit across the display region, and coupled to the scan lines;
• a signal line coupling circuit that is disposed in the peripheral region and coupled to the signal lines;
• and
• a driver integrated circuit (IC) that is disposed in the peripheral region and configured to control the first scan line drive circuit, the second scan line drive circuit, the third scan line drive circuit, and the signal line coupling circuit, wherein
• the second scan line drive circuit and the third scan line drive circuit are adjacent to each other, and one or more of the scan lines coupled to the second scan line drive circuit passes through the third scan line drive circuit and extends to the display region.
