Real time risk assessment and operational changes with semi-autonomous vehicles

A method comprising:

• receiving a route for a vehicle;
• analyzing historical data associated with the route to determine at least one event that occurred along the route;
• determining if the at least one event occurred during manual control or autonomous control of the vehicle;
• determining at least one of a cause or a probable cause of the at least one event;
• and
• adjusting at least one driving action planned for the vehicle while driving along the route based on at least one of the cause or the probable cause of the at least one event.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

• receive a route for a vehicle;
• determine at least one event that occurred along the route by analyzing historical information associated with the route;
• determine if the at least one event occurred during manual control or autonomous control of the vehicle;
• determine at least one cause of the at least one event;
• and
• adjust at least one driving action planned for the vehicle while traversing the route based on the at least one cause of the at least one event.
