Abstract
The disclosure relates to a multi-layer coating system on a polycarbonate substrate, comprising: a primer layer applied directly to the substrate, wherein the primer layer is obtained from a primer coating composition, which comprises at least one polyaspartic acid ester and at least one polyisocyanate crosslinker, which primer coating composition does not comprise epoxy-functional alkoxysilanes and is free from compounds with reactive OH groups, and at least one organic topcoat layer overlying the primer layer, which organic topcoat layer is obtained from a coating composition different from the primer composition.

A multi-layer coating system on a polycarbonate substrate, comprising:
- a primer layer applied directly to the substrate, wherein the primer layer is obtained from a primer coating composition, which comprises at least one polyaspartic acid ester and at least one polyisocyanate crosslinker, which primer coating composition does not comprise epoxy-functional alkoxysilanes and is free from compounds with reactive OH groups,
- at least one organic topcoat layer overlying the primer layer, which organic topcoat layer is obtained from a coating composition different from the primer composition.
