Patterned structured transfer tape

A method of forming an OLED device comprising:

• providing a structured template layer having a structured surface and an opposed planar surface, the opposed planar surface of the structured template layer disposed on a substrate;
• backfilling the structured surface of the structured template layer with a backfill material comprising a nanoparticle composite;
• laminating the backfilled structured surface of the structured template layer to a surface of an OLED device;
• exposing the backfill material to a first actinic radiation through a photomask, creating areas of cured backfill material and areas of uncured backfill material within the backfilled structured surface;
• removing the substrate and the structured template layer from the areas of cured backfill material and areas of uncured backfill material;
• allowing the areas of uncured backfill material to reflow to create a backfill layer comprising areas of cured backfill material and substantially planarized areas of uncured backfill material;
• and
• exposing the backfill material to a second actinic radiation, curing the substantially planarized areas of uncured backfill material, creating a cured backfill layer on the OLED device.
