A printed nonwoven web comprising a pattern of fusion-embossed bonding points, wherein the nonwoven web is ink-printed on the surface showing the pattern of bonding points, wherein
- the pattern of bonding points is homogenous over the entire surface of the fabric and fulfills the following conditions:
- (a) the number of bonding points on the surface is greater than 70/cm2;
- (b) the average area size of the individual bonding points is smaller than 1.5 mm2;
- and
- (c) the average distance between bonding points, from centre to centre, is smaller than 1.3 mm.
A method for making a printed nonwoven web, said method comprising a nonwoven web that is bonded by calender embossing to form a nonwoven web comprising a pattern of fusion-embossed bonding points, and wherein the nonwoven web is ink-printed on the surface showing the pattern of bonding points, wherein the pattern of bonding points is homogenous over the entire surface of the fabric and fulfills the following conditions:
- (a) the number of bonding points on the surface is greater than 70/cm2;
