Abstract
A method of video evaluation for a video comprising successive video frames comprises the steps of generating optical flow vectors for at least a subset of corresponding pixels between frame pairs, calculating a difference between corresponding optical flow vectors of successive frame pairs, and evaluating the resulting differences with respect to a predetermined criterion, to identify respective frame pairs for further processing.
Claims15
A method of video evaluation for a video comprising successive video frames, the method comprising the steps of:
- generating optical flow vectors for at least a subset of corresponding pixels between frame pairs;
- calculating a difference between corresponding optical flow vectors of successive frame pairs;
- and
- evaluating the resulting differences with respect to a predetermined criterion, to identify respective frame pairs for further processing.
A non-transitory, computer readable storage medium containing a computer program comprising computer executable instructions that when executed by a computer system, cause the computer system to perform a method of video evaluation for a video comprising successive video frames, comprising the steps of:
- generating optical flow vectors for at least a subset of corresponding pixels between frame pairs;
- calculating a difference between corresponding optical flow vectors of successive frame pairs;
- and
- evaluating the resulting differences with respect to a predetermined criterion, to identify respective frame pairs for further processing.
An entertainment system, comprising:
- a video evaluation processor adapted to perform in operation, for a video comprising successive video frames, the steps of:
- generating optical flow vectors for at least a subset of corresponding pixels between frame pairs;
- calculating a difference between corresponding optical flow vectors of successive frame pairs;
- and
- evaluating the resulting differences with respect to a predetermined criterion, to identify respective frame pairs for further processing.
