Abstract
An electrochromic element includes: an element structure including a pair of electrodes and an electrochromic layer arranged between the pair of electrodes, in which a chromaticity in a decolored state is in a range of a chroma C*=6 to 15 and a hue angle h*=105° to 130° in a chromaticity diagram of a CIE 1976 color space; and a colorant layer provided in the element structure and having a main absorption peak with an absorbance of 0.04 to 0.12 and a full width at half maximum of 20 to 60 nm between 550 nm and 570 nm in wavelength.

An electrochromic element comprising:
- an element structure including a pair of electrodes and an electrochromic layer arranged between the pair of electrodes, in which a chromaticity in a decolored state is in a range of a chroma C*=6 to 15 and a hue angle h*=105° to 130° in a chromaticity diagram of a CIE 1976 color space;
- and
- a colorant layer provided in the element structure and having a main absorption peak with an absorbance of 0.04 to 0.12 and a full width at half maximum of 20 to 60 nm between 550 nm and 570 nm in wavelength.
