Polymer composition, extruded polymer composition, article comprising said composition and method for preparing said article

Abstract

A polymer composition including (A) between 35 and 58 wt. % of polyamide 6 having a relative solvent viscosity (RSV) measured in 90% formic acid of 2.5 or higher; (B) between 2 and 10 wt. % of a maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene having: i) a MFR of above 40 g/10 min (@190° C. 2.16 kg), and ii) a maleic anhydride concentration of 0.5-1.8 wt. % based on the weight of the maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene; (C) between 32 and 63 wt. % of a polypropylene composition having an MFR of less than 25 g/10 min (@230° C. 2.16 kg), wherein said polypropylene composition comprises at least 80 wt. %, based on the weight of the polypropylene composition, of one or more heterophasic propylene copolymers when the amount of polyamide 6 is less than 45 wt. %, wherein the wt. % of the polymers under (A), (B), and (C) is defined based on the combined weight of (A), (B), and (C). The composition relates to an extruded polymer composition as well as articles including the composition. A method of preparing such an article, and to an extruded film and to a blown film.
