Compounds for treating polyq-related neurodegenerative disorders

A compound of Formula (I):

• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein:
• X is selected from NH2, —N(RN)—R1, ring D and —N(RN)-ring D and C1-6 alkyl optionally substituted with one or more R10;
• each RN is independently selected from H, C1-6 alkyl and C3-7 cycloaliphatic;
• R1 is C1-6 alkyl optionally substituted with one or more R10;
• each R10 is independently selected from halo, —CN, —OR15, —SR15, —S(O)R100, —SO2R100, —S(O)N(R100)2, —SO2N(R100)2, —OC(O)R100, —OC(O)N(R100)2, —N(R100)2, —N(R100)C(O)R100, —N(R100)CO2R100, —N(R100)C(O)N(R100)2, —N(R100)SO2R100, C(O)R100, —CO2R100, —C(O)N(R100)2, —C(O)N(R100)OR15 and phenyl;
• each R15 is independently selected from H, C1-6 alkyl and —(CH2CH2O)n—R16,
• wherein n is 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5;
• each R16 is independently selected from H, C1-6 alkyl and —N(RN)C(O)R100;
• each R100 is independently selected from H, and C1-6 alkyl;
• ring C is selected from C3-7 cycloaliphatic, C6-10 aryl, 3 to 12-membered heterocyclyl, and 5 to 1-membered heteroaryl, each of which is optionally substituted with one or more R2;
• each R2 is independently selected from halo, —CN, —NO2, —OR200, —OC(O)N(R200)2, —OC(O)R200, —SR200, —S(O)R200, —SO2R200, —S(O)N(R200)2, —SO2N(R200)2, —C(O)R200, —CO2R200, —C(O)N(R200)2, —C(O)N(R200)OR200, —N(R200)2, —N(R200)C(O)R200, —N(R200)CO2R200, —N(R200)C(O)N(R200)2, —N(R200)SO2R200, C1-6 alkyl and C1-6 haloalkyl;
• each R200 is independently selected from H and C1-6 alkyl;
• alternatively two adjacent R2, taken together with the carbon atoms of ring C to which they are attached, form a 3 to 7-membered heterocyclyl;
• ring D is selected from C3-7 cycloaliphatic, C6-10 aryl, 3 to 12-membered heterocyclyl and 5 to 10-membered heteroaryl, each of which is optionally substituted by one or more R11;
• each R11 is independently selected from halo, —CN, —NO2, —OR110, —SR110, —OC(O)R110, —OC(O)N(R110)2, —S(O)R110, —SO2R110, —S(O)N(R110)2, —SO2N(R110)2, —N(R110)2, —COR110, —CO2R110, —N(R110)C(O)N(R110)2, —C(O)N(R110)2, —C(O)N(R110)OR110, C1-6 alkyl and C1-6 haloalkyl;
• each R110 is independently selected from H and C1-6 alkyl;
• alternatively two adjacent R11, taken together with the carbon atoms of ring D to which they are attached, form a 3 to 7-membered heterocyclyl;
• alternatively one R10 and one R2, taken together with their intervening atoms, form a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclyl ring;
• R3 is selected from H, halo, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 haloalkyl and C3-7 cycloaliphatic;
• R4 is selected from H, halo, —CN, —OR40, C1-6 alkyl and C1-6 haloalkyl;
• R40 is selected from H, C1-6 alkyl and C1-6 haloalkyl;
• R5 is selected from H, halo, C1-6 alkyl and C1-6 haloalkyl;
• R6 is selected from H, halo, C1-6 alkyl and C1-6 haloalkyl;
• R7 is H or C1-6 alkyl optionally substituted with —OR70 or N(RN)2;
• and
• R70 is selected from H, halo and C1-6 alkyl;
• and wherein:
• (i) at least one of R3, R4, R5 and R6 is not H;
• (ii) when X is NH2, then ring C is C3-7 cycloaliphatic, 3 to 12-membered heterocyclyl or 5 to 10-membered heteroaryl, each of which is optionally substituted with one or more R2;
• (iii) when X is NH2 or —N(RN)—R1, then R3, R5 and R6 are all H;
• and, when X is NH2, and ring C is phenyl, then the phenyl substituted with one or more R2;
• and
• (iv) when X is —N(RN)-ring D, then ring C and ring D are not both optionally-substituted C6-10 aryl;
• and, when X is —N(RN)-ring D and ring D is 9-10 membered bicyclic heteroaryl or an optionally N-substituted piperindyl, then R3, R5 and R6 are all H.
