Abstract
The disclosure relates to crystalline forms of bis(4-hydroxy-N-methyl-N-isopropyltryptammonium) fumarate (“crystalline bis-miprocin fumarate”), compositions containing that crystalline form, and their methods of treatment using them.
Claims21
A method of treating a brain disorder, the method comprising the step of:
- administering to a subject in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- a therapeutically effective amount of crystalline bis(4-hydroxy-N-methyl-N-isopropyltryptammonium) fumarate, and
- a second serotonergic drug selected from the group consisting of alprazolam, amphetamine, aripiprazole, azapirone, a barbiturate, bromazepam, bupropion, buspirone, a cannabinoid, chlordiazepoxide, citalopram, clonazepam, clorazepate, dextromethorphan, diazepam, duloxetine, escitalopram, fluoxetine, flurazepam, fluvoxamine, lorazepam, lysergic acid diethylamide, lysergamide, 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine, milnacipran, mirtazapine, naratriptan, paroxetine, pethidine, phenethylamine, psicaine, oxazepam, reboxetine, serenic, serotonin, sertraline, temazepam, tramadol, triazolam, a tryptamine, venlafaxine, vortioxetine, and derivatives thereof.
A method of treating a disorder selected from the group consisting of:
- a developmental disorder;
- delirium;
- an amnestic disorder;
- a cognitive disorder;
- a psychiatric disorder due to a somatic condition;
- a drug-related disorder;
- a mood disorder;
- an anxiety disorder;
- a somatoform disorder;
- a factitious disorder;
- a dissociative disorder;
- an eating disorder;
- a sleep disorder;
- an impulse control disorder;
- an adjustment disorder;
- and a personality disorder, the method comprising the step of:
- administering to a subject in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- a therapeutically effective amount of crystalline bis(4-hydroxy-N-methyl-N-isopropyltryptammonium) fumarate, and
- a second serotonergic drug selected from the group consisting of alprazolam, amphetamine, aripiprazole, azapirone, a barbiturate, bromazepam, bupropion, buspirone, a cannabinoid, chlordiazepoxide, citalopram, clonazepam, clorazepate, dextromethorphan, diazepam, duloxetine, escitalopram, fluoxetine, flurazepam, fluvoxamine, lorazepam, lysergic acid diethylamide, lysergamide, 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine, milnacipran, mirtazapine, naratriptan, paroxetine, pethidine, phenethylamine, psicaine, oxazepam, reboxetine, serenic, serotonin, sertraline, temazepam, tramadol, triazolam, a tryptamine, venlafaxine, vortioxetine, and derivatives thereof.
