Abstract
An electric vehicle includes an electric motor; a travel device driven by power transmitted from the electric motor; a vehicle speed sensor configured to detect a vehicle speed; and a motor controller configured to control the electric motor. The motor controller is configured to perform a stop control in such a manner as to maintain a rotation speed of the electric motor at a predetermined reference rotation speed larger than zero, when the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle speed sensor reaches a predetermined reference vehicle speed or less.

An electric vehicle, comprising:
- an electric motor;
- a travel device driven by power transmitted from the electric motor;
- a vehicle speed sensor configured to detect a vehicle speed;
- and
- a motor controller configured to control the electric motor, and
- wherein the motor controller is configured to perform a stop control in such a manner as to maintain a rotation speed of the electric motor at a predetermined reference rotation speed larger than zero, when the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle speed sensor reaches a predetermined reference vehicle speed or less.
