Ink container and recording apparatus

An ink container that is configured to be attachable to and detachable from an apparatus main body of a recording apparatus, the ink container comprising:

• an ink storage portion that has flexibility and that is configured to store ink in an interior thereof;
• and
• an ink supply member that is provided at one end portion of the ink storage portion and that is configured to supply the ink stored in the ink storage portion to the apparatus main body,
• wherein the ink supply member has an inlet port through which the ink stored in the ink storage portion is introduced, and
• wherein, when a direction of gravity while the ink container is in a mounting position by being mounted on the apparatus main body is defined as a positive W direction, a direction opposite to the positive W direction is defined as a negative W direction, a horizontal direction while the ink container is left to stand is defined as a positive T direction, a direction opposite to the positive T direction is defined as a negative T direction, and a direction that is perpendicular to both the positive W direction and the positive T direction and that is a direction from the one end portion of the ink storage portion toward another end portion of the ink storage portion is defined as a positive D direction, the ink supply member includes:
• first protruding portions, one of the first protruding portions protrudes in the positive T direction and another one of the first protruding portions protrudes in the negative T direction, each of the first protruding portions being provided at an end portion of the ink supply member in the negative W direction, and
• second protruding portions, one of the second protruding portions protrudes in the positive T direction and another one of the second protruding portions protrudes in the negative T direction, each of the second protruding portions being provided at an end portion of the ink supply member in the positive W direction,
• wherein a protrusion amount of the second protruding portion protruding in the positive T direction is larger than a protrusion amount of the first protruding portion protruding in the positive T direction, and a protrusion amount of the second protruding portion protruding in the negative T direction is larger than a protrusion amount of the first protruding portion protruding in the negative T direction, and
• wherein, in the positive D direction, each of the first protruding portions has a width larger than a width of each of the second protruding portions.

A recording apparatus comprising:

• an apparatus main body;
• and
• an ink container that is configured to be attachable to and detachable from the apparatus main body,
• wherein the ink container includes
• an ink storage portion that has flexibility and that is configured to store ink in an interior thereof, and
• an ink supply member that is provided at one end portion of the ink storage portion and that is configured to supply the ink stored in the ink storage portion to outside,
• wherein, when a direction of gravity while the ink container is left to stand is defined as a positive W direction, a direction opposite to the positive W direction is defined as a negative W direction, a horizontal direction while the ink container is left to stand is defined as a positive T direction, a direction opposite to the positive T direction is defined as a negative T direction, and a direction that is perpendicular to both the positive W direction and the positive T direction and that is a direction from the one end portion of the ink storage portion toward another end portion of the ink storage portion is defined as a positive D direction, the ink supply member includes
• first protruding portions, one of the first protruding portions protrudes in the positive T direction and another one of the first protruding portions protrudes in the negative T direction, each of the first protruding portions being provided at an end portion of the ink supply member in the negative W direction, and
• second protruding portions, one of the second protruding portions protrudes in the positive T direction and another one of the second protruding portions protrudes in the negative T direction, each of the second protruding portions being provided at an end portion of the ink supply member in the positive W direction,
• wherein a protrusion amount of the second protruding portion protruding in the positive T direction is larger than a protrusion amount of the first protruding portion protruding in the positive T direction, and a protrusion amount of the second protruding portion protruding in the negative T direction is larger than a protrusion amount of the first protruding portion protruding in the negative T direction, and
• wherein, in the positive D direction, each of the first protruding portions has a width larger than a width of each of the second protruding portions.
