A miter saw may include a base assembly. A miter saw may include a rotatable table rotatably connected to the base assembly. A miter saw may include a pivot arm pivotally attached to the rotatable table. A miter saw may include a saw assembly supported by the pivot arm, where the saw assembly may include: a drive unit having a plurality of electric motors, a transmission coupled to the drive unit through a master gear, and a blade that is rotatably driven by the drive unit and the transmission.

A miter saw comprising:
- a base assembly;
- a rotatable table rotatably connected to the base assembly;
- a pivot arm pivotally attached to the rotatable table;
- and
- a saw assembly supported by the pivot arm, wherein the saw assembly includes:
- a drive unit having a plurality of electric motors,
- a transmission coupled to the drive unit through a master gear, and
- a blade that is rotatably driven by the drive unit and the transmission.
